SHERIFF MATTHEW T. WARD

Sheriff Ward began his career of service at age 18, serving our country as a United States Marine before entering law enforcement in 1996 as an Auxiliary Deputy with the Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office. Since then, he has dedicated his career to serving the citizens of Botetourt County. First elected Sheriff in 2019 and re-elected in 2023, Sheriff Ward brings more than 28 years of service to the community he calls home.
