SERVICES

Thank you for your inquiry about the services the Botetourt County Sheriff's Office provides. We are proud to offer a wide range of services to our community. Our office is committed to providing exemplary law enforcement services to ensure the safety of our citizens. We provide round-the-clock patrol services, criminal investigations, narcotics investigations, community policing initiatives, crime prevention programs, and other law enforcement services. Additionally, we offer several unique services, such as National Night Out,  Golf tournaments, Senior luncheons, a Summer Camp, and many more activities. The Services division supports our patrol division with civil process service and our newly developed traffic safety unit. We also assist with recruitment.

The Botetourt County Sheriff's Office provides law enforcement for the entire county, including the towns within it. Their duties encompass patrolling neighborhoods, responding to calls for service, investigating crimes, and making arrests. They also work to prevent crime through community outreach and public education initiatives.

Corrections

The Botetourt County Jail Corrections Division is responsible for the safety and security of inmates housed at the jail. This includes managing daily operations, supervising inmates, ensuring their well-being, and enforcing jail rules. They also process new arrivals, conduct inmate searches, and facilitate communication between inmates and the outside world.

services

The Botetourt County Sheriff's Office Services Division provides School Resource Officers (SROs) who act as mentors and law enforcement liaisons within schools. The DARE program, also under their umbrella, educates students about drug and alcohol abuse prevention. Additionally, the Services Division manages community outreach efforts to foster positive relationships between residents and law enforcement. On the legal side, they handle court-related duties and civil processes, ensuring the smooth operation of the judicial system within the county.
